Franks was THE local hang out in my hometown in the 1970s. A small mill town just outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Franks food was the best Italian food in the city. The recipes came from Mama Rosa. Franks family came from Sicily in the mid 1940s and after working in the steel mill for a many years he made his dream come true. He opened his restaurant in the downtown. Frank cozy little bar was always filled with happy customers almost every night and Schlitz beer was a very hot item. Seemed like everybody was drinking it. Frank was a dear friend of our family and when the restaurant closed he left me with this awesome Schlitz neon sign. Schlitz Beer Neon Sign. 20 inches in length.
