RARE Vintage 1940s COCKTAILS Bar Neon Metal Sign, Old Los Angeles WOW

This is a fantastic and RARE Vintage 1940s COCKTAILS Bar Neon Metal Sign, which was pulled from an old cocktail bar in Los Angeles, California. This sign likely dates to the 1940’s – 1950’s and would have originally had glass neon tubing on the left side, and over all of the letters, but these were lost long ago, and this piece has been retrofitted with modern plastic light tubing. This amazing sign is quite large, at approximately 60 inches tall x 28 1/2 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches deep. Good condition for age and decades of outdoor display use, with expected scuffing, denting, edge wear, oxidation, and paint loss throughout please see photos. This sort of honest patina is exactly what you would want to see on a sign like this. Acquired from an old collection in Los Angeles County, California. 99% of Cocktail Bar signs that you will see online are Chinese made reproductions, but this is the real deal. Rare Vintage Greyhound Neon Sign in EXCELLENT working condition. Beautiful enamel original paint. Issue date on UL decal inside is March of 1968. Original transformer inside of can. High quality built cant find makers mark on it. Finish is nearly perfect but does have light paint splattering on front towards top. You cant find a Greyhound Neon Sign for sale anywhere let alone one in this condition. No its not perfect but its about as close as you will ever find. Measurements shown in pics so please view pictures close as they are part or most of the description. Weighs about 75 pounds give or take. Local pick-up also welcome and I would be willing to drive 150 to 200 miles for an agreed upon price. Rare Vintage Neon Greyhound Bus Sign Old Gas Station Display Amazing Condition

Up for sale is this super rare and awesome Greyhound Neon sign in excellent used vintage working condition. Works perfect and it looks like all the neon glass is original. Top blue neon is brighter than the bottom neon of the dog and this is the way it was made. Only other one i could find was on Pintrest. The dog is white on that one and the top is brighter than the bottom half. Probably did this to give it some depth. Beautiful enamel finish with not many chips but on the front above the Greyhound is some white paint splatter as shown in pics. Only other thing I noticed is a bolt on the top is going in at an angle no idea why but not noticeable because its on top and you can see this in pic number 23. Probably dates from the 1960’s to 1970’s Very hard to find any info on these Greyhound neon signs and it would be really hard to find a nicer not messed with original sign. Measurements shown in pics so please view pictures close as they are part or most of the description. It only has a UL tag on the top where the cord comes out so I don’t know who made these. Its really well-built and definitely not flimsy. If you collect Greyhound Bus Signs or anything Greyhound related then your collection will never be complete without this gem of a sign!
