Please keep this in mind when viewing the s&h charges. Thank you for your understanding. Very scarce 1930s Goebel neon spinner sign. Measures approx 12″ across x 5″ deep at the deepest point. Constructed of a metal cabinet with reverse painted glass sign face. Illuminated by a yellow neon tube with transformer and works well. The motor that drives the outer perforated ring behind the glass that makes the neon appear to flash on and off, drawing your eye towards the sign is in need of repair or replacement, as it does not operate. The sign displays nicely but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina from age and use. The red reverse paint near the eagle at center is flaking off. The cord is shot and would certainly need to be replaced before use, as it is dangerous, degraded and bare in areas. All told a super rare and super cool old sign that with a little restoration would likely be the centerpiece of your collection! This is an interchangeable letters sign, which means you can pull the letters out and make different messages if you like. However, the letters are pretty hard to come by and I do not have any more (except for 5-6 white/blue letters). These are the letters with the 2 center electrodes, which haven’t been made for eons. Sign is in very good condition for its age, and the transformer runs nice and quietly. An absolutely awesome sign in great condition. UP FOR SALE IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY SCARCE ORIGINAL VINTAGE ANTIQUE 1930s NEON-RAY SIGNS INC. BAR & GRILL DINER MENU BOARD ADVERTISING NEON CLOCK. Neon-Ray was a company based in Brooklyn & Buffalo New York U. They produced a couple of different types of “menu board” clocks. We’re assuming this was a sibling of the Canadian Neon Ray Clock Company. VERY HEAVY CLOCK WITH TRANSFORMER WHICH MEASURES 22″ INCHES HIGH X 18.5″ INCHES WIDE X 8 INCHES DEEP AND RETAINS THE ORIGINAL HANGING CHAIN ON THE BACK OF THE CLOCK WITH HANDLE ON TOP. THE PATENT DATE ON THE CLOCK DATES THE PIECE TO AROUND 1931. THE ALTERNATING CURRENT SYNCHRONOUS MOVEMENT “HAMMOND” CLOCK KEEPS PERFECT TIME AS WELL AND YOU HAVE TO START THE CLOCK BY HAND WINDING!!! THERE IS A SWITCH ON THE SIDE OF THE CLOCK TO TURN THE NEON LIGHTS ON AND OFF!!! THE MENU BOARD IS BLACK METAL WITH 3 ROWS TO SLIDE CARDBOARD LETTERS INTO POSITION.
