This is the original sign from the “Casa Grande” Motel in Petaluma, California. The motel was built in the late 40’s and demolished in 2005. The address was 307 3rd Street now Petaluma Blvd. The sign I believe is the 2nd design for the motel. During the demo – it was removed and stored outdoors – what you see is it’s current condition. The side in pictures was “face down” and did not get beat-up by the sun. Overall dimensions are 11’3″ wide x 17’6″ tall. All pieces are roughly 9 3/4 thick. Most of the paint looks to be original. Most of the neon tubes are long gone. To remove the sign from it’s former resting place – the sign was cut and dismantled into 5 pieces. Between the “M” and “O” , just below the “L”, the “Television” was. As was the “triangle”. All of the above could be. Into the original configuration. Or – it could be cut into 3 different signs. Casa Grande with triangle. And the Television section. Happy to answer any questions. More pictures available – just ask.
