Huge Vintage 1950's Chevrolet 2 Sided 25' Neon Porcelain Metal Gas Oil Sign

For your consideration a vintage 1950’s sign. The sign is made of metal and is double sided. The signs have a porcelain finish and are made to be neon lit. The glass neon tubes for the letters are missing. Each side has three porcelain panels that make up Chevrolet. The transformers look to be complete and the body of the sign is still in good condition. The porcelain signs are still in good condition and there is no touch up. They could use a good cleaning. It measures overall with the mounting brackets 45″ in depth by 285″ in height. The body with the porcelain signs measures 280 1/2″ in height by 34″ in depth by 14 1/2 in width. The hanging bracket on the top measures 42 across. I can store the sign for as long as needed as long as it is paid for. It is in Crawfordsville, Indiana zip code 47933. It originally hung in front of City Chevrolet in Chicago’s famous auto row. An excellent addition to any advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign and a great piece of history. Rare Vintage Kendall Motor Oil Neon Round Double sided sign Original Works

Rare Vintage Kendall Motor Oil Neon Sign. Size: 27″ x 7″. Year: 60’s to 70’s? Power: 120v direct wiring. Mounting: Original Wall bracket attached. Made by: Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Neon is in Original working condition. No modifications have been made. This is a great working Vintage Neon sign that came from an old Kendall motor oil distributor. Would make a great addition to any Petrolina collector, garage or just in a man cave. Sign does show some wear due to it was in use before being taken down and stored away. It has some light rusting and the lens have some warping. There is no power plug with this sign cause it was directly wired when it was in use and was originally intended to be that way. I tested it with a temporary made plug to show the neon was working. Please see attached pictures for more condition detail. I have tried to research online and in Petrolina forums for the years this was made but have not been able to get an exact date of manufacture. It was made by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. And with that being said everything leads me to believe this is from the 60’s-70’s. But please if you know this to be different please let me know. Up for sale is a vintage Maytag appliances double sided porcelain neon sign. It measures 72″ x 28″ x 10. It is in pretty solid shape. It has a couple of hits to the porcelain as you can see in the pictures. The neon is in good shape on one side and is broken on the other. The lower neon tube is missing from both sides. The sign is complete on the inside. Its never been messed with. It still has its sign maker tags on the bullnose. Nice colors and logos, but could use a polishing. Nice piece for your collection.
