Vintage 1940s TOYS Double Sided Neon Store Display Sign. Large 1940s TOYS neon sign in working condition, double sided. When on letters are RED. Mesh was added or changed at some point for glass protection. The TOYS store sign was found in New England. It measures 48 length, 18 tall by 17 wide including mesh. Vintage Original Kendall Oil Double Sided Porcelain Enamel Neon Milk Glass Sign

Vintage Original Kendall Oil Double Sided Porcelain Enamel Neon Milk Glass Sign with original hanging hardware – this sign hung inside the Southern Garage in Joplin MO for many many years until we moved it in 2000. We carefully removed as much of the layers of grime before moving it into the house where it hangs in the stairwell to the basement. Both sides say “Gear Lube Kendall The 2000 Mile Oil” – porcelain enamel is cut out where the letters are and milk glass fills the cutouts – neon ring around the outside of the sign. T is all original – never restored, only cleaned!!! Original neon – original wiring – milk glass is complete and intact – porcelain enamel is as perfect as you will find in a sign that is 75+ years old – ALWAYS has hung inside!!! I’m sure there is some paint wear on the band around the sign and perhaps a bit of rust due to its age, but we can’t get up close enough to see it! The sign will remain hanging where it is until the day you come to pick it up! I believe this sign is about 38.5″ diameter by about 12″ thick and weighs about 65 lbs, if the label is correct (see pic) not including the brackets. The opposite side of the sign is identical to the one showing, but I can’t get to the other side to photograph it. We are downsizing to prepare for a future move. We collected a LOT of different things over the years – railroadiana, gas & oil, airline, breweriana, depression glass, teddy bears, soda fountain – a wide variety of stuff! Left side shows the working great COORS neon lettering and the right side has a rectangular plastic panel with the words, “BREWED WITH PURE ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPRING WATER” and below that it reads “ADOLPH COORS COMPANY, GOLDEN COLORADO” with an “R” in a circle On the opposite side it reads “COORS AMERICAS FINE LIGHT BEER”. Very Good vintage condition. The front with the neon and panel with lettering look vintage and very good. The back shows so scuffs and wear but still shows great. Looking for a cool one of a kind sign for your mancave or garage? This is an original double sided sign that was faded away to nothing. It has bull nose on each end and was originally a pole mount sign. We installed eyelets so it can be hung from the ceiling. I had this sign patina painted into what it is now – HI-SPEED Gasoline. This sign has character! Sign displays very well when lit up and has a killer patina when off, see photos. Definitely a one of a kind. Measures approximately 7′ X 3′ X 16. This is a vintage “BEER” double sided neon sign on a p. This would be perfect for a Bar or Man Cave. In very good working condition – neon stills lights up well as photos show. It is double sided with one side missing the neon glass. The neon system needs to be restored on that side. There is some minor rust / missing paint as the photos show, but nothing major. Uncertain of age, guessing from the 1960’s or 1970’s. Measurements are: 36″ x 10″ X 13.5. This is being offered fresh to the market for the first time as is, as it was found. Thanks for stopping by.
