Vintage 1940’s Richfield NEON Sign Double Sided, 10 Foot, Motorized

Beautiful 1940s double sided richfield sign, restored a few years ago. Approximately 10 feet tall and 6 feet wide. There are very few of these known to have been made which makes these very rare and collectable. All neon works perfectly and rotating assembly has been rebuilt and all new bearings and seals replaced, perfect showpiece for the neon or car collectors show area. Most of these signs were single sided and most double sided ones were cut in half to make two wall signs. This is the only one I know of to exist. Go to following link to see a video of it. Vintage Neon Westinghouse Mazda Advertising Sign-double Sided Rare

A very rare Double Sided Vintage Neon advertising sign for Westinghouse Mazda Lamps and Westinghouse Refrigerators. Definitely old, all original and highly collectible. The sign is in very good original condition. A great neon sign depicting iconic commercial brands. The graphics are very good as well. The glass which has the “W” on it is curved on both sides. The wiring is the original and should be checked; but works fine. There are bulbs which light up the inside of the sign and a few are out. I’ve taken photos both with the sign lit and off (last two). 26″ in diameter and 8″ deep. The original hanging brackets are there. Very few pieces are ever in perfect condition but all have stood the test of time. But all items are old and may have some wear that is consistent with the age but does not detract from it. This item is for pick-up only; but we will gladly work with your shipper and can recommend some that we have used in the past. It is up to you to decide whom to use. BEAR MANUFACTURING / BEAR TIRE & WHEEL ALIGNMENT VINTAGE METAL SIGN 1940’S. 9tall x 3ft. BEAR TIRE/AUTOMOTIVE SIGNS ARE BECOMING MORE SOUGHT AFTER EVERY YEAR! MANY CHAINS AROUND THE COUNTRY HAVE ADAPTED THE BEAR LOGO INDICATING A QUALITY STANDARD OF BEAR MANUFACTURING. The bear signs were produced by Bear Manufacturing, a nationwide chain. Shops would hang them up to indicate that they were trained by Bear and used Bear wheel alignment tools. The yellow bear logo has been used by the company since the 1920s. Example: ” Vodie’s ” is / was a local chain of auto repair shops. He is often referred to as the laughing bear, happy bear, or dancing bear. The Grateful Dead rock band lifted the logo without permission. In the 1960s or 1970s, when Bear Manufacturing became part of Automotive Diagnostics, the company stopped producing the signs. Hard to find neon arrow sign. Not one of the reproductions! Measures 8 feet tall and 29 wide. Looks like it was made to be mounted vertically. Came out of the Tacoma area. I bought the old RAMBLER dealership in Marlinton West Virginia in 1997. This neon sign was attached to the building. I had it repaired and covered in plexiglass to protect it. It lights up on both sides. It is 10 feet tall and 21 inches wide at the letters. It is 13 inches deep. The plexiglass adds 4 inches in each side.
