This sign is in super great condition for its age with only one small cracklike less than an. Inch crack on the back of the shade that no one can see when displayed/hung. The reason for the RESERVE is because there is not another Jax Sign(exactly as this one)to compare it to, but based on my extensive research. Vintage neon spinner clock made by Neon Clock Sales Company in Chicago, ILL. 14 inches in diameter heavy chrome plated steel front case with black metal back. All steel construction, heavy American made core and coil transformer and all brass American made clock movement. Outer lens is glass. Very high quality clock weighs approx. Lights up, runs, keeps perfect time. Has a pull chain switch on the bottom so the neon can be turned on or off without disrupting the time. Unsure of exact age but not a currently produced clock, at least 30 years old. Face is original to the clock and has had no touch up or restoration. A RARE PIECE OF HISTORY. I CANNOT FIND ANOTHER LIGHT LIKE THIS. I BELIEVE IT TO HAVE BEEN USED ORIGINALLY IN A STORE DISPLAY. WAS FOUND IN A COASTAL MAINE BARN. GREAT PATINA ON THE PAINTED GLASS. White background in center with red lettering and Blue Rim. Some of the blue rim paint is missing. But great patina and the look is marvelous. PAPER LABEL ON THE SIDE NEON PRODUCTS LIMA OHIO. THIS COMPANY STARTED IN BUSINESS IN THE 1930’s. THIS LIGHT MAY THEN BE FROM THE 1930’s. The patents listed on the back of the electric sign was granted in the year 1937 for an Animated luminous display. You can google patent 2097122 and you’ll find it. THE NEON IS GREEN LIGHT. WHEN YOU PLUG IT IN THE NEON SPINS. 17 3/4 inches round in diameter. HAS ITS ORIGINAL PLUG. GREAT SIGN FOR THE NEON BEER COLLECTOR SIGN CLOCK AS WELL. Sign works and lights well. Measures approximately 19″ long, 10″ tall, 3.5 wide. Sign does have some wear consistent with age including yellowing of the plastic, surface scratches, and a couple tight cracks in the plastic as shown in the pictures. Light flickers when you first plug it in, but then stays lit with no problems. Power cord should probably be replaced for safety. Overall, a great looking, hard to find sign. Metal IS NOT rusted through in any spot… The metal frame is SOLID. There are NO cracks of any kind to the thick glass panel nor the neon tubing. This sign needs a new. This clock really looks GREAT! It is extremely scarce too! The clock keeps perfect time and lights up beautifully. The cabinet is in excellent condition with just minor wear on the lower left border of the CHAMPION logo. It measures 16″ wide by 16″ tall and about 4 deep. The clock has 2 cords. 1 for the light and one for the clock. The cord for the light has a on/off rocker switch. A nice RARE addition to your collection–in COLLECTOR’S condition.
