The set is missing the F and i to complete the firestone. The letter could be made by a pro etal fab guy and porcelained. It would probably cost a bunch though. Hoping someone out there has the rest. About half the glass round insulators are gone, it feels like some of the letters have the transformers in them, a couple of letters have bent parts, see pics. Letters stand about 2 feet tall each and about 16-18 wide. Letters have some latex paint (red) on them. Letters are solid white once paint is removed. Large porcelain enamel exterior ENTRANCE sign in 3 sections, with open, script lettering. Only one fragment of original neon tubing remains, but otherwise in good condition but for some minor areas of rust (at joins with steel mounts) and minor enamel loss as clear in photos. Enameled front and back, with some manufacturing marks on reverse as shown. Brilliant red color and handsome design, suitable for display as is or for neon restoration project. Provenance unknown purportedly from an amusement park in the Louisville KY/Ohio River Valley region. Rare Antique 1950s Precision Parts Swiss Type Automatics Hardware Store Display Sign. Made For Specialty Screw Machine Products Lancaster Pa. Still lights up and displays great. Measures 18 tall x 24 wide x 7 deep. There is a neon bar inside that runs along the edge to illuminate the sign and also a light bulb behind the middle logo. Bottom of display has a pull out tray where the products would have been kept. This is a excellent display piece for any general store collector. Original cord was cut and someone spliced a new one to the back. Display is heavy weighing probably around 30-40 pounds. See photos for details! This piece is in overall excellent condition.
