VINTAGE “AGFA FILM” NEON SIGN!! HERE WE HAVE AN ORIGINAL 1940’S “AGFA FILM” NEON SIGN, I HAVE HAD THIS SIGN FOR MANY MANY YEARS, THIS OLD NEON SIGN HAS JUST HAD ALL NEW NEON TUBES REPLACED BY A NEON REPAIR MAN IN THE TWIN CITIES MINNEAOPOLIS, THE SIGN HAS ALL THE ORIGINAL GLASS TUBE SUPPORTS AND ALL OF THE SCREWS ARE ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE 4 THAT HOLD THE BLUE NEON TUBE SUPPORTS, THE SIGN ALSO COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL CHAIN, YOU CAN SEE THE SIGN HAS ON THE TWO TOP SIDES FOR THE CHAIN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES FOR THE CHAIN ONE TOWARDS THE FRONT AND ONE TOWARDS THE BACK, AS YOU CAN SEE THE SIGN WORKS AND IS JUST BEAUTIFUL, THE BLUE METAL SIGN WITH THE WHITE LETTERING APPEARS TO BE PORCELAIN OR ENAMEL BUT I’M NOT 100% SURE, IT HAS ONE CHIP ON THE BLUE FACE AS SHOWN ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SIGN JUST PAST THE LETTER “A” NEAR THE EDGE, THE SIGN MEASURES FROM TOP TO BOTTOM 18 7/8″ AND FROM SIDE TO SIDE IS 25 3/4″ AND 5 7/8 DEEP, THE WEIGHT OF THE SIGN IS 21 POUNDS, I HAVE CHOSEN TO NOT DO A THING WITH THE CAN ITSELF AS FAR AS PAINTING, IT HAS OLD BLACK WRINKLE PAINT AND SURFACE RUST, I THINK IT’S PERFECT THE WAY IT IS!!! Vintage Las Vegas Neon Sign/Marquee Letters. Movie Memoribilia

This sign came off the Klondike casino which was the first hotel and casino as you entered the strip, to the right of the welcome to fabulous Las Vegas sign which is arguably the most famous sign in the world. This casino and hotel served as the parking lot for tourists to stop and take pictures next to the welcome sign until a median/parking lot was built. There was a 5 year period that the welcome to Las Vegas sign was not lit. The owner of the Klondike hotel at that time, ran a heavy duty electric cord to make sure that sign remained lit. An article on that is included below. These letters are roughly 7ftx4ftx10in. They all vary in size of length but the width and height remain the same. They were featured in the iconic 90’s film Vegas vacation, in a deleted scene of miss congeniality 2, and likely many other films. I will update those as I find them. Please see YouTube links below for clips were the sign is featured in those films. As you can see in the pictures there was steel support framing added to the S only. The sign was split up and the owner of the S reinforced the letter because these signs are wobbly due the the large size and the thin steel they are made of. These signs can be split to read CA (California), CO (Colorado), Along with SIN as a separate word. These signs are neon museum quality! I will hand deliver this item from Las Vegas. Vintage Movie Theater Marquee neon Sign antique tipped light bulb glass cover

There are no bulbs or sockets included, they are only pictured to demonstrate how the covers fit onto bulbs and to give an idea of what they look like when lit. This is a mint condition set of FOUR original glass light bulb covers from the Coyle Theater in Charleroit PA. These would have been used on the vertical marquee bulbs when it was first installed back in 1920. The covers are very simple to use. They have a metal spring inside that attaches them to the top of a standard straight sided 15 watt incandescent bulb. It has to be a straight sided bulb like the one pictured. All four covers are in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks and all have good retainer springs.
