Huge Vintage Neon Sign OKLAHOMA. Im not sure about the history of this sign, but its very large and super cool! Each channel letter would be back lit with neon and the transformers would be in the raceway (the long base the letters sit on) All of the neon is long gone. Some of the transformers are still in the raceway. Use as is or you can restore it to your liking. Overall length is about 15 feet. Other dimensions available upon request. You pay the transport. Huge Vintage 1950’s Chevrolet 2 Sided 25′ Neon Porcelain Metal Gas Oil Sign

For your consideration a vintage 1950’s sign. The sign is made of metal and is double sided. The signs have a porcelain finish and are made to be neon lit. The glass neon tubes for the letters are missing. Each side has three porcelain panels that make up Chevrolet. The transformers look to be complete and the body of the sign is still in good condition. The porcelain signs are still in good condition and there is no touch up. They could use a good cleaning. It measures overall with the mounting brackets 45″ in depth by 285″ in height. The body with the porcelain signs measures 280 1/2″ in height by 34″ in depth by 14 1/2 in width. The hanging bracket on the top measures 42 across. I can store the sign for as long as needed as long as it is paid for. It is in Crawfordsville, Indiana zip code 47933. It originally hung in front of City Chevrolet in Chicago’s famous auto row. An excellent addition to any advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign and a great piece of history. This Listing is for… This Alpine Mobile Audio Backlit sign… Its like 6 x 4 ft… I will get measurements, check the backlighting, and some more pics soon, but for now I just wanted to get it listed. Plastic/acrylic front with NO cracks, metal housing about 8 thick. A great single side wall mount sign for that shop wall or even your stereo business. No other trim or parts included.. Other parts pictured available in other listings. May not perfect but might be better than yours. But in our opinion all in some form of restorable condition as pictured. I don’t have time for that. And no one percenters, no, I don’t mean the rich 1% you hear about on the news, the other end of the spectrum 1%… If you are a one percenter, this is for you. The item is as pictured and described, but it may be between 30 and 80+ years old and may look like the came out of Oscar the Grouches residence, being dusty/dirty, perhaps even having Charlotte’s web inside, feasting on dead flies. They probably came from abandoned vehicles in ungodly locations, which means, they were left to the elements and rarely moved, so sun fading, wind chapping and who knows what else may have occurred. When they were moved, they were drug by chains and tow straps, or pushed by tractors(with a tire between them if they were careful) by tired dirty farmers who just wanted to get the vehicle out of their way. I will have to misspell it!! Not even allowing the mere word to be mentioned!!! ?? But back to my original rant… Which means your item will not come with a card, a bow, ribbon, tissue paper, pillow box, or even a new box… Also, if its a corrugated box its fair game, which means the boxes may be old beer/wine/liquor boxes(from coping with the 1%ers), oil boxes, or from misc small appliances/tools; and may have been previously used to store parts, pack tools, or even as a temporary table to hold items during the primer/paint process of automotive restoration. Now I proudly affront the 1%ers with the spirit of a puffed chested. Fighting for reasonableness & discernment in purchasing old junque’ for all! _ / \ _. Huge Historic Vintage Neon Sign Rockland Drive In Theatre 18′ double sided resto

Recently acquired this sign before just before it ended up in the scrap. Unfortunately we did not remove it, or we would have treated this with a bit more care. A historic one of kind roadside drive in theater sign. From Rockland county New York. “Rockland Drive In Theatre” This was a landmark in the county for many years. Sign did come down a little rough. Sign is in 6 pieces, not sure if all sections are intact. Some of the sections are rotted away on the lower portions. I did not lift top Theatre piece to inspect others in detail, but i can see that raised lettering is bent up a bit. Upper section measures just over 18 foot long 47 inches tall, and lettering is about 3 ft tall. Obviously the neon is broken out, but some remnants can be seen in pictures. Pictures give a pretty good idea of condition, again a bit rough, but a one of a kind vintage neon that would be well worth the repair or restoration. You will probably never see another like this. Sign is located in Newburgh New York 12550. I have attached a picture of the sign as it once stood. Thanks for looking, and please ask questions about this piece of history.
