Cool old clock in working condition with killer patina. The photo showing the backs – this is the clock on the left. The last photo is of what may have been a sticker or decal on the face above the “6”. The clock measures about 26 across the backside. The neon has been replaced and I think the clock mechanism as well. Both the neon and the clock work. I’m no clock expert, looks like my Cleveland Aztec. The clock is located in Indianola, Iowa. I got this old clock a while back and put it on a shelf. It’s been sitting there ever since. It’s yet another project I’ll probably never get to. All I had planned on doing is getting the clock and neon to work and leave the rest just as you see it. I love the patina. The cord has been cut. The inner neon looks like its intact. Vintage neon spinner clock made by Neon Clock Sales Company in Chicago, ILL. 14 inches in diameter heavy chrome plated steel front case with black metal back. All steel construction, heavy American made core and coil transformer and all brass American made clock movement. Outer lens is glass. Very high quality clock weighs approx. Lights up, runs, keeps perfect time. Has a pull chain switch on the bottom so the neon can be turned on or off without disrupting the time. Unsure of exact age but not a currently produced clock, at least 30 years old. Face is original to the clock and has had no touch up or restoration. Has a couple of small rust spots near the 7 which might clean off but I’ll leave that to the new owner. Any questions just ask, I’ll reply ASAP. CLEVLAND OHIO NEON CLOCK. This old clock has been in the wild until 1 week ago. With the original flag it measures 38″ wide and 32″ tall. This clock was found on the original service station it was attached to. The Face and Glass have been stored inside for the last 50 years while the can remained attached to the building. I have taken pictures of every Thing I think is important. I do believe that the clock itself will work. There are no breaks on the neon on the inside face. This clock came from that group of stuff. Neon Clock Sales Company started business in 1945. I’m not sure when they ceased operation. Most of the parts that I bought were wrapped in newspapers from the late 80’s so they made it at least that long. I assume this clock is from that time period. This one has no advertising on the face but instead has art deco style numbers which are reverse painted on the outer glass. It is not marked but it was made by Neon Clock Sales Company Chicago, IL. The clock is as close to perfect as you are likely to find. Face has no visible scratches or flaws. The can is made of heavy steel. It has a beautiful chrome plated finish on the front bezel and a textured black painted finish on the back. All of these clocks and parts were NOS and never used. They do have a little shelf wear or some very light scuffs but they are very nice for their age! This clock does have a new neon tube, a new cord, and a new switch, it should provide many years of trouble free service. Any questions just ask. I’ll reply ASAP. 14.5 inches in diameter with an 11 inch outer glass and is approx. 6.5 inches deep. (from the wall to the front of the clock) Weighs a hefty 14 lbs. 16Home04 up for sale is a vintage Cleveland Electric neon clock company 8 sided orignal Light up face clock , this is the large cleveland clock measures 21 1/2 across the 8 sides and is around 6 3/4 front to back , this is a nice original clock that has been fully restored the inside looks as good as the outside , the inside of the can was painted white and is very clean , the metal can is original ENCC can and was cleaned down and repainted with gold hammer tone paint this finish has a few runs as i was learning to paint this hammer finish a few years back. It looks great and shines very nice. Check out my other items. The way we handle this is we package the item very very well. You will have to supply the repair labor and time and having the tube made locally and installed.
