Vintage PEARL LIGHT BEER Neon Sign. ID Tag on the transformer says this sign was made MARCH 1985, making this sign 35 years old! Sign is in amazing condition! It has been in a personal collection since it came out of the box and was only run a handful of hours. There is no damage or flaws of any type to the sign. The only signs of age are the rubber boots where the glass connects to the wiring which tend to harden and brittle with age (typical of any older neon sign) but does not affect function. The blackout paint behind the tubes is also flaking a bit this is only the external paint! The glass is pristine which is typical for a sign of this age regardless of how much or little it has been used. The neon colors are all vivid without any color loss or fading on the glass. All glass tubing is in great shape with no cracks or scrapes in the coloring. These are very tough to come by and this one is in amazing shape for its age. Features the classic Pearl Lager Beer logo with the iconic guitar pick shape that has represented Pearl since the 1960’s. Electrical cord is in great shape and not at all brittle or stiff. Pull switch works perfectly. Sign measures 19″ wide X 16″ tall X 7 deep. If you search “lone star neon” or “pearl beer neon” you will literally see hundreds of these fakes and about 5-10 actual authentic (made in AMERICA) Lone Star neons.. The others you see are 100% chinese fakes. The worst part is- the fakes look nothing like the listing photos. Also be weary of “new” signs out of California or Houston as they are mostly fakes as well. If you have any respect for yourself or this country you will not settle for a lesser quality, cheaply made Chinese knock-off of ANYTHING, let alone a neon sign which if not made properly could burn your house down.
