<<< VINTAGE NEON SIGN, ATOMIC AGE STAR, SKY-LIT MOTEL >>>. This sale is for the STAR. It’s a spectacular sign, even more impressive in person! The SKY-LIT motel was in Green Bay, WI and unfortunately was demolished in 2015 to make way for a retention pond. Just before demolition was to occur, we salvaged the sign with city permission. Since then, we have been working on this sign, slowly but surely, first cleaning the porcelain sign and then rebuilding the sign can. The approach was to retain originality but have sound wiring and structure. The sign has all new wiring and new transformers installed. The neon tubing required repair in places and we worked with a local company that specializes in vintage neon. The electronic controller in the sign is set-up to display 16 different patterns of stepping / flashing. They are all very interesting and eye catching displays; one of the patterns steps through all the different patterns. The speed of the display can also be changed from slow to blazing fast, whatever you would like. Please see the attached video. The sign has a simple wall plug, just plug it into a wall receptacle and you are good to go. The sign is approximately 9 feet tall by 8 feet wide by 1 foot deep.
