40's Double Sided Rexall Porcelain Neon Drugstore Sign
Such a cool original double sided porcelain neon Rexall Drug Store sign from decades ago. Found in Cass Lake, Minnesota. Iver’s Drug is one the locals will remember and was a staple many years in that town. At one time, this lit more than likely a navy blue in color and had a light orange boarder. This sign is believed to be circa 1940s, 50s. The transformers are still inside albeit showing surface rust. We have not done anything to this other than clean it with soap and water. Very nice, very large attractive sign. 40.5 inches tall by 60 inches wide w/o brackets and is approx. You are welcome to come inspect sign before purchasing, we are located in Bemidji, MN. This has a few spots of chipped porcelain and minor surface rust. Very good for the age. A bit concave on one side, very fixable. Still retains the original wall mounting brackets. One spot has worn through at the bottom of the D on Drugs… One side shows some rust that went through a bit. Enlarge all photos as they are an important part of the description.

Antique JAX BEER neon sign. This sign is working but otherwise exhibits wear and age. The cord has been replaced, and at some point someone badly repainted the black lettering on the front of the sign. There are a couple of spots were the clear plastic cover exhibits a small crack or chip along the edge. I noticed a lot of black tarry stuff inside the metal electrical box when replacing the cord. The sign lights right up, doesn’t flicker, and the motor only emits a very slight hum. Old white stencil on reverse reads PROPERTY OF JAX BREWING CO. Small decal on bottom read The Cincinnati Advertising Products Co. Measures 22″ wide x 14″ tall x 7 deep. Please examine all pictures and ask questions. Thanks for looking and good luck. ALL INFORMATION STATED HERE COMES FROM THE INTERNET, AN EXPERT ON THESE KIND OF NEON PRODUCTS INC SIGNS, PRIOR OWNER AND. Before going any further please note that I will describe this sign to the best of my ability(just what I see) and will provide 12 photos so you can judge the condition for yourself. Based on my research this sign is from the late 30’s early 40’s. It is approximately 27″ x 7 1/2″ x 1 3/4. As you can see in the photos this whole sign is rusty(just surface dust rust).. Metal IS NOT rusted through in any spot… The metal frame is SOLID. There are NO cracks of any kind to the thick glass panel nor the neon tubing. This sign needs a new. Electrical cord and needs some TLC(a good sanding and a good paint job) to make it more beautiful. It is UNUSUAL and it just amazes me that it has survived all these years without. Any damage(cracks) to the glass panel or neon tubing. What you see is what you will be receiving. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION..
