<<< VINTAGE NEON SIGN, COFFEE CUP >>>. For sale, this very old coffee advertising sign, probably circa 1940s – 1950s. This sign is approximately 4 feet high, 5.5 feet long, and 16 inches wide. It’s a two sided sign. The sign has been completely rewired with GTO wire and a new outdoor transformer. All wiring is new. The neon tubing is new and does match the original exactly in shape and color. The neon tubing was bent by a neon sign sign company that specializes in the restoration of vintage signs. They are very knowledgeable and are able to match old neon colors. The sign has a simple wall plug, just plug it into a wall receptacle and you are good to go. You can run the plug either through the bottom plate or from the side, whatever is easier for you. The sign does have rust holes here and there, mainly at the very bottom, adds to the “patina” in my opinion. I’ve coated the sign in flat clear to arrest any further rust. The inside structure is good. As far as the signs origin, I don’t know where it came from. I did do a little research though, most likely it was used at a donut shop, cafe, or diner.
