MONUMENTAL Vintage 20th C NBC NEON Light SIGN PEACOCK NBC Advertising Logo TV
Just removed from a local Westchester New York estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful piece of modern American history, a Vintage Mid-Century Neon Sign – ” NBC” Peacock. Base is in a form black acrylic box which houses all wiring. Back is a plexiglas / acrylic / lucite smoked brown half-moon glass, that is a background for a Peacock that is comprised of 10 custom neon bulbs (clear body + 9 feathers – 8 white + 1 red in center). This baby was removed from a home where it spent over 50 years, and the family told us that it belonged to an employee of NBC. It is in good structural condition, complete, paint spot on top back that can be cleaned (please see photos). It is not in working condition, e verything is there, but needs work to get it restarted. Size is extra large 45″ wide, 45″ tall, and 8 deep. This baby was a centerpiece of the entertainment room, mounted on the wall with “L” brackets. It will be a topic of many conversations!
