Vintage Pearl Beer Sign -Neo Neon. Vintage XXX PEARL LAGER BEER. These signs are hard to come by and its in amazing shape for its age. It features the classic Pearl Lager Beer logo with the iconic XXX that has represented Pearl since before prohibition. This is the older version with the GOLD case and BROWN/YELLOW colored front lense that is layered in a way that gives it much more depth, dimension and variation in the way the viewer sees the light and colors (also known as neo-neon, meant to mimic the look of neon without it being so fragile). The newer ones from the 80’s are much more cheaply/less artistically made with a black plastic case and front lense that just puts out a flat light. This version was made in the late 60’s/early 70’s. As for this sign, the only flaws are some tiny scrapes in the front lens. (See Pics for full description and flaws). Everything else is in great shape. The light comes right on when you plug the sign in and the plastic is still strong and flexible.. Not at all brittle. Sticker on the back tells you it was made by Display Corporation and provides instructions for cleaning and re-lamping the sign. Signs measure 19″ X 13″ X 3.
