For your consideration a vintage 1940’s sign. The sign is made of metal and has a neon lighted glass face with a clock movement spinner wheel behind the glass face. The neon lights up and the spinner wheel turns properly. There is some finish loss on the glass face. I replaced the power cord to test it as the old one was bad. It will need to be rewired inside. I have included a photo of the wiring inside the transformer body. It measures 18 1/4″ in width by 18 1/4″ in height. An excellent addition to any collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign. Thank you for looking. Please keep this in mind when viewing the s&h charges. Thank you for your understanding. Very scarce 1930s Goebel neon spinner sign. Measures approx 12″ across x 5″ deep at the deepest point. Constructed of a metal cabinet with reverse painted glass sign face. Illuminated by a yellow neon tube with transformer and works well. The motor that drives the outer perforated ring behind the glass that makes the neon appear to flash on and off, drawing your eye towards the sign is in need of repair or replacement, as it does not operate. The sign displays nicely but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina from age and use. The red reverse paint near the eagle at center is flaking off. The cord is shot and would certainly need to be replaced before use, as it is dangerous, degraded and bare in areas. All told a super rare and super cool old sign that with a little restoration would likely be the centerpiece of your collection! Made by Waynes Neon of Ohio during the early 90s. They supplied restorers with needed parts and made fantasy clocks from scratch. Unfortunately it appears Wayne passed away a while ago, but the website is still up although non-functional. The neon works, the “spinner” works, and the clock keeps time! The electrical cord is pristine! There are no scratches to the glass front; there are a few small wear areas to the back. There is an area of some small pitting to the surface of the metal surrounding the clock. The Texaco logo used on this clock is the logo the Company used from 1936 to 1963.
