All original 1950’s Schmidt’s One Beautiful Beer! Glass neon tube unfortunately has a small break in the bottom of the letter “M” in the part connecting to the letter “I” (see photos 7 & 8). I did plug it in and it partially lit up. The bottom red lines came on a bit, but I did not leave it plugged in long because I noticed the damage to the cord (zoom in to photo 4). Despite this issue, it still displays great as is, even without lighting her up. Many nice pieces including signs, bottles, cans, clocks, beer taps, and other advertising breweriana memorabilia. If you are a Schmidt collector, or just a fan of advertising and beer stuff in general, be sure to check out my other listings! There are pieces from all of the different Schmidt breweries/companies including Schmidt of Philadelphia, Wisconsin, Jacob Schmidt of St. Paul Minnesota, Fuhrmann & Schmidt out of Shamokin PA, Christian Schmidt, etc. There are also various items with the “Schmidt” name which are non-related to the beer company such as milk bottles and a few other pieces. I do my best to write accurate descriptions and mention any damage or other issues, but please use the photos to judge the overall condition for yourself. Vintage Schmidts Beer of Philadelphia Neon Sign. Neon in good working condition as can be seen in photos. Sign Only transformer not included. Sign measures approximately 14″ H X 24 1/2″ wide X 2 3/4. Center of neon sign has a cut out plastic in the shape of a keystone engraved “of Phila”. This appears to be a rare sign probably from the section of Phila known as Brewery Town. If you live in that area this is a piece of history to hang on that special wall. Transformers are available on e-bay. I make an attempt to describe each item accurately. Here is a really NEAT SCHMIDTS BEER NEON SIGN!!! The SIZE is GREAT 11″ tall 19″ wide and 6 1/2 deep. It weighs about 13lbs. The transformer is made of metal and has the numbers “E44785″ on the top of it. The pull string WORK FINE!! It can use a good wipe down/cleaning as its been in storage a long time….
