Recently acquired this sign before just before it ended up in the scrap. Unfortunately we did not remove it, or we would have treated this with a bit more care. A historic one of kind roadside drive in theater sign. From Rockland county New York. “Rockland Drive In Theatre” This was a landmark in the county for many years. Sign did come down a little rough. Sign is in 6 pieces, not sure if all sections are intact. Some of the sections are rotted away on the lower portions. I did not lift top Theatre piece to inspect others in detail, but i can see that raised lettering is bent up a bit. Upper section measures just over 18 foot long 47 inches tall, and lettering is about 3 ft tall. Obviously the neon is broken out, but some remnants can be seen in pictures. Pictures give a pretty good idea of condition, again a bit rough, but a one of a kind vintage neon that would be well worth the repair or restoration. You will probably never see another like this. Sign is located in Newburgh New York 12550. I have attached a picture of the sign as it once stood. Thanks for looking, and please ask questions about this piece of history.
