Franks was THE local hang out in my hometown in the 1970s. A small mill town just outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Franks food was the best Italian food in the city. The recipes came from Mama Rosa. Franks family came from Sicily in the mid 1940s and after working in the steel mill for a many years he made his dream come true. He opened his restaurant in the downtown. Frank cozy little bar was always filled with happy customers almost every night and Schlitz beer was a very hot item. Seemed like everybody was drinking it. Frank was a dear friend of our family and when the restaurant closed he left me with this awesome Schlitz neon sign. Schlitz Beer Neon Sign. 20 inches in length. This is a vintage “BEER” double sided neon sign on a p. This would be perfect for a Bar or Man Cave. In very good working condition – neon stills lights up well as photos show. It is double sided with one side missing the neon glass. The neon system needs to be restored on that side. There is some minor rust / missing paint as the photos show, but nothing major. Uncertain of age, guessing from the 1960’s or 1970’s. Measurements are: 36″ x 10″ X 13.5. This is being offered fresh to the market for the first time as is, as it was found. Thanks for stopping by. Vintage EXXON NEON LIGHT-UP SIGN withINDIVIDUAL LETTERS (HUGE SIGNAGE) gas/oil

THE SIGN IS HUGE. ALL THE LETTERS ARE 4 INCHES THICK. THE “E” IS ABOUT 18″ TALL X 14″ LONG. THE “XX” IS ABOUT 40″ AT THE LONGEST POINT, AND 31″ ACROSS THE FRONT. THE “O” IS ABOUT 19″ TALL X 18-1/2″ LONG. THE “N” IS ABOUT 18″ TALL X 16″ LONG. EACH LETTER HAS NEON LIGHTING INSIDE. THE WIRES WERE CUT WHEN THEY TOOK IT DOWN, SO I HAVE NO WAY TO TEST IT. ALL THE TUBING AND LETTERS LOOKS GOOD, EXCEPT THE “XX” HAS ONE SECTION OF TUBING BROKE OFF, AND ONE PIECE OF PLASTIC BROKE OFF THE LETTER. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE BOTH IN THE LAST 2 PICTURES. THERE ARE A FEW SCREWS MISSING, THAT HOLD THE LETTERS TOGETHER, AND SOME OF THE SEALING PIECES ARE MISSING, BUT BOTH OF THOSE ARE VERY EASY FIXES. OTHER THAN THE ISSUES MENTIONED, ALL THE OTHER WEAR IS VERY MINOR, AND NOT SERIOUS AT ALL. OVERALL, EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE IN GOOD SOLID CONDITION. THE ONES I FOUND SIMILAR, DID NOT HAVE NEON TUBING. IF ANY OF THEM WORK, THAT WILL JUST BE A BONUS FOR YOU. AWESOME AND VERY RARE. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT ALL MY OTHER COOL AND UNUSUAL STUFF.
