The tubes are surrounded by a sturdy, commercial grade black steel housing. Your neon sign will come to your door suspended in a wood crate made specially to transport this giant neon sign. Unpacking instructions are included. All you do is hang it up and plug it in – no assembly or special wiring required. Up for sale is a one of a kind custom Neon sign of an iconic era. This neon sign has been hand made and is a work of art. It measure 48inches Height, 46inches Width, and 12 inches wide. The “can” of the sign has been manufactured with steel framing and aluminum sheeting with a high heat/UV retardant enamel paint. The image of the sign has been printed on uv film (the same film used on the side of commercial vehicles used for decals). This film is rated for 10 years with no fading plus we added an additional automotive clear coat that should increase the lifespan of the film. The neon glass on this sign has all been hand forged with 9mm-12mm glass tubing by master glass smiths with over 20 years of experience. This sign is double sided with over 100ft of glass tubing on each side! The sign is powered with 8 electronic UL approved transformers ranging from 6.5-9.8kv sizes. All the transformers can be easily accessed from the top of the sign. This sign is currently being showcased in Pueblo Colorado in the historic neon alley. Up for your consideration is a fully working vintage Boars Head neon sign. This is a genuine commercial sign from Boars Head out of a real deli. It’s made with quality materials to withstand everyday use and wear. It’s date marked from October 4th 1995, completely original and shines super bright. Measures 25″ x 21″ compared to the 19″ x 15″ knock offs. Besides being a genuine product, larger size, quality materials my favorite thing about this neon is the transformer. It’s a genuine old school Franceformer neon – the power sapping boxes that have the beautiful hum of the original neons. The Franceformer is what makes this a collectable and a return on your investment. So I’ve included several pictures, it has some minor paint chips on the neon tubes, built up dust and paint loss on the support frames. The second picture shows a side by side example of how it was originally compared to being cleaned. Een removing the dust and will be touching up the paint as time permits. I have several other neons available as well as project neons for repair or to use the frame and transformer as custom projects. Vintage 1980s Moosehead neon beer sign still in its original crate! Very rare and even more so being in its original crate. This mother of all collectible neon beer signs has been stored for over 20 years. It has four beautiful colors of white, yellow, green and red that are powerfully amped up by the two large transformers or ballasts. Glass tubes are filled with neon.
