Neon Sign AUTO GLASS 1950 1960’s. This listing is for The ONE Above Pictured. Vintage 1950’s or 1960’s (possibly older) 15″ X 30″ BREATHTAKING Neon Sign Saying Keys in Red – INSIDE A Green KEY. With The Original Hand Blown Glass & Using The Original Electronics Underwriters Laboratory Inc. Gas Tube Sign Transformer A-3648 With Pull Chain To Turn On and Off. In addition, A New Clear Plastic Frame Was Recently Constructed By The Neon Guy Who Went Through it, Fixing Anything It May Have Needed Getting It Ready For The Next 60+ Years. I realize I have to take additional pictures and of course, none of the other items are included with this sale. This neon sign was uncovered from a locksmith who recently retired and closed the doors after being at that location in the Bronx for over 53 years. This family business had previously been around for decades so these neon signs could potentially be well over the 53 years. I think he said they came when they moved in or were there something like that, however will try to confirm. I kept most of the dust on it so the neon guy received them barn fresh so to say to preserve everything he could. I hate to sell this however we just have too much stuff. I’m listing this quickly because if I keep looking at at I’m not going to sell it and I know there is someone out there who will not only appreciate it, it may help their business as well. It is such a honor to get this going properly, and enjoy it while we own it knowing it can’t be replaced. It’s in a totally different league than the new neon as I’m sure you know if you’re interested in it and I can’t imagine you being disappointed. I wasn’t a neon guy before however, I’m quickly turning into a big admirer of the old neon so really don’t mind if nobody buys it. I’m sure this is why people want 60+ year old neon, I didn’t know or understand the fixation until now, they are mesmerizing. This is an amazing sign. It is in great condition. It does have surface rust and scrapes and scratches consistent with it’s age. It could use a good cleaning. It measures 37″ x 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2 it has hooks on it so you can hang it or you can just sit on a shelf. The front plate comes off. All of the letters are individual pieces like tiles with raised letters on them. This is a great sign that would make a gift for the pharmacist in your life. It could use a new electrical cord. Vintage Neon Coachlite Motel Metal Sign. The Coachlite Motel opened in West Chicago IL in the 1950s. This sign was mounted to a pole by the street. Original neon still intact. It is metal and very heavy. 11-1/2″ long 4-1/2″ tall 18 deep. Will need full restoration for it to light up again. Would display very well as is.

Very rare 1950’s neon. In the photos the neon has is swirling look but this just the camera effect. The color is solid in person. Sign is made by Anheuser-Busch as stamped on the back of the transformer. Works great and has a nice even color. Made to hang in a window it has all of the original support structure. The transformer and frame are all flat black. The cord is missing the ground prong but works fine. The pull chain switch works fine. See photos for size.
