Vintage PEARL LIGHT BEER Neon Sign. ID Tag on the transformer says this sign was made MARCH 1985, making this sign 35 years old! Sign is in amazing condition! It has been in a personal collection since it came out of the box and was only run a handful of hours. There is no damage or flaws of any type to the sign. The only signs of age are the rubber boots where the glass connects to the wiring which tend to harden and brittle with age (typical of any older neon sign) but does not affect function. The blackout paint behind the tubes is also flaking a bit this is only the external paint! The glass is pristine which is typical for a sign of this age regardless of how much or little it has been used. The neon colors are all vivid without any color loss or fading on the glass. All glass tubing is in great shape with no cracks or scrapes in the coloring. These are very tough to come by and this one is in amazing shape for its age. Features the classic Pearl Lager Beer logo with the iconic guitar pick shape that has represented Pearl since the 1960’s. Electrical cord is in great shape and not at all brittle or stiff. Pull switch works perfectly. Sign measures 19″ wide X 16″ tall X 7 deep. If you search “lone star neon” or “pearl beer neon” you will literally see hundreds of these fakes and about 5-10 actual authentic (made in AMERICA) Lone Star neons.. The others you see are 100% chinese fakes. The worst part is- the fakes look nothing like the listing photos. Also be weary of “new” signs out of California or Houston as they are mostly fakes as well. If you have any respect for yourself or this country you will not settle for a lesser quality, cheaply made Chinese knock-off of ANYTHING, let alone a neon sign which if not made properly could burn your house down. Vintage LONE STAR BEER Texas Neon Sign. Sign is in great shape! There is no damage or flaws of any type to the sign. The neon colors are all vivid without any color loss or fading on the glass. All glass tubing is in great shape with no cracks or scrapes in the coloring. The blackout paint behind the tubes and between the lettering is in good shape and is not cracking or flaking off at all. This is the large version of this sign measuring 28″ Tall X 28″ Wide X 6.5 Deep. There is a more common smaller one that you see for sale somewhat often which is heavily copied by Chinese bootleggers. If you have any respect for yourself or this country you will not settle for a lesser quality, cheaply made Chinese knock-off of ANYTHING, let alone a neon sign which if not made properly could burn your house down. NEW OLD STOCK LONE STAR BEER NEON SHIELD SIGN. Impossible to find / highly sought after Lone Star Beer Shield logo neon sign in Original Box. These are very popular signs manufactured in the 1970’s and commonly counterfeited. A quick search of Lone Star neons will turn up dozens of FAKE, BOOTLEGGED copies of this sign design. The copies are hand bent, most likely by child labor in CHINA, and will look nothing like the pictures you are shown. This authentic version is made on a professional grade commercial tube bender. If you have any respect for yourself or this country you will not settle for a lesser quality, cheaply made Chinese knock-off of ANYTHING, let alone a neon sign which if not made properly could burn your house down. It has only ever been turned on for me to take the photos for this listing. The sign has never been removed from the original box and is still wired into it as it came from the factory. You will notice that the blackout paint between the letters and outlines is cracking with age and emits some light where it is supposed to be solid paint. I personally think it adds a cool patina to the sign and looks better as is. If you want it to be pristine any type of household paint can be used to re-coat the blackout areas. It all depends on if you want it to look brand new or aged. Cord is in nice shape, not at all brittle. The neon colors are all vivid without any color loss or fading on the glass. Super Rare LONE STAR BEER ARMADILLO Backlit Sign. This is the impossible to find fluorescent backlit version of the iconic Lone Star Armadillo shield. This is a large sign that measures 36″ Wide X 24″ Tall X about 10 Deep. Sticker on the back says it was made July 2nd, 2001, meaning this sign is already 14 years old and still in perfect condition. Just pull the sting and it lights right up. Comes with a hanging chain mounted on the back. Cosmetically its in perfect shape with no flaws or damage to speak of. This would make an excellent addition to any Texas Beer / Shiner / Lone Star collection, man cave, or even a movie prop collection.
